Die 1988 gegründete finni-sche Huhtahyvät Oy aus der Kleinstadt Kankaan-pää, südwestlich von Helsinki gelegen, ist bekannt für ihre Fleischprodukte in Premium- Qualität. „Das Familienun-ternehmen mit seinen knapp 80 Mitarbeitern hebt sich von Mitbewerbern durch quali-tativ hochwertige Produkte ab“, erklärt Antti Vilska, Pro-ject Manager bei Huhtahyvät. Sein Großvater und sein Onkel haben das Unternehmen ge-gründet. 2008 erweiterte das Unterneh-men sein Sortiment um eine Gourmet-Salate-Range. Deren Erfolg brachte die Produktion bald an ihre Kapazitätsgrenzen. Antti Vilska, u. a. verantwortlich für Verpackungsentwicklung und Einkauf der Ausstattung, sah die Zeit für Investitionen in den Maschinenpark gekom-men. 2014 wurde eine kom-plett neue Produktionslinie für Salate in Betrieb genommen. Die Gourmet-Salate auf Ma-yonnaise- Basis mit Kartoffeln, Shrimps oder Lachs wurden The family company Huh-tahyvät, located in Kan-kaanpää, southwest of Finland, was founded in 1988 and started with initial focus on the manufacturing of meat and meat jellies. Originally they processed larger pieces of meat to be further processed at retail. They became the first company in Finland to supply pre-sliced meat to the retailers. In 2008, they added a range of gourmet salads to their port-folio. Antti Vilska, grandson and nephew of the founders, is Project Manager at Huhtahy-vät with a background in food engineering. He is respon-sible for packaging develop-ments and new purchases of equipment. A number of in-vestments were made in 2014 to support the growth of the company.
