Using the software, the staff always knows whether the processed raw materials include aller-gens and whether they need to change over and clean machines prior to a change in product. This way they can prevent that allergen residues end up in the products. Orders via EDI The importance of EDI is increasing significantly. At Mischau, this area is also implemented in the CSB-System: Having been a mere retail issue before, now a growing number of caterers and hospitals demand electronic order processing. This has been endorsed by recent studies: with electronic order processing via EDI, enterprises can save about two thirds of the costs compared to order handling on paper, which is mainly due to the high speed of electronic transmission combined with error pre-vention. EDI enables automatic transfer of business data between the application programs of the participating parties. As a result, business processes are optimized, for example submitting an order. The customer’s order is instantly entered in the ERP software and can be processed without delay. Integration brings about transparency Mischau has eliminated its stand-alone solution quite a while ago. Also in the future, management counts on the CSB-System as turnkey solution.
